Spider-Man for Reference

This scene features the armored car flying down the street. The film truck has a huge jib arm mounted on the back that extends about 80 feet in front of the truck. It swings way up in the air while filming the top of the truck in front of it. Both were flying up and down the street with the extras on the sidewalk and the drivers creating the traffic on the road.

Then the stunt actor for Spider-Man came out in costume and did some key poses on a ladder and then on top of the truck. They didn't film him on the moving truck, he only came out and posed for about 10 minutes. I think it might be for reference for the visual effects to be digitally added in post-production. They were taking pictures of the actor in costume in the same light as they had filmed all day. That way the computer generated effects will match the live action scene filmed on location.
